Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, is an actor famous for her character Bo on the Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk was the child of Peter, an academic and Peter Silk, an actor, director, producer, playwright, educator as well as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers her very first memory of playing rehearsals together with her mother. Silk was a prominent character in numerous commercials when she was a young child. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least 2 early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto for further development of her acting profession in November 1999. Later, she spent the next decade, she moved in the following decade to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman is her future partner, which she met in Los Angeles at an Actors training. In 2009, the couple were married in a civil ceremony in December of 2009. The couple got married in Fredericton on the 10th of April in 2011, they renewed vows after her change of religion to Judaism. Silk was blessed with an infant son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron was her second born baby on May 13, 2016. Silk's television work has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland and she received an Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009 she landed the principal character role of Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television series Lost Girl. Silk became pregnant during filming of season three's finale and announced this to viewers in Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk revealed via Twitter, on the 20th of June, 2013 that production had begun on Season 4. In June of 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed that production had begun for Season 4 of the show. The CNN Cable News Network named her portrayal of Bo as well as Lauren (Zoie Parker) on Lost Girl as same-sex couples among their top TV Couples. E! named them the Top Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk is the result, and its popularity on social media has grown to a huge internet following.
